[Image] 2 ways in which Tottenham could line up next season with this £50m-rated Bundesliga ace in the team

Amidst all transfer speculations and deals struck by fellow Premier League counterparts, Tottenham Hotspur tied down manager Mauricio Pochettino on a five-year-deal. He has been a man in demand following his successive Champions League qualifications.

The North Londoners are also constructing a new stadium and are set to move there next season. They are unlikely to spend millions in the market this summer, however, consecutive top-4 finishes might strengthen their hold in the transfer market.

Spurs have been linked with a move for £50m-rated Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic and a tug-of-war is expected for the American teenager later this window, with Liverpool also keen on the player.

Pulisic, 19, is one of the greatest young talents in world football and has already established himself as a first-team regular for a club of Borussia Dortmund’s stature. He was acquired for their youth ranks during Klopp’s final few months of Dortmund tenure but his on-field excellence for the reserves saw him earn a first-team promotion back in 2016.

Despite being in his teenage, the promising starlet has already made 97 senior appearances for BVB over past three seasons and has contributed frequently by scoring goals as well as providing assists.

The USMNT international is capable of playing in a number of roles and despite being a modern-day No.10 with great dribbling and controlling traits, Pulisic has mostly been utilised down the right flank at Borussia Dortmund for his pace, crossing and one-twos with fellow attackers.

Spurs already have an array of wide attackers in Heung-min Son, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura and also Christian Eriksen, who enjoyed a spell down the right-hand flank this term in spite of being a playmaker who loves to operate more centrally.

The presence of Dele Alli in a central attacking slot forced Pochettino to switch the Danish sensation to a wide role, however, the arrival of Pulisic will add more flexibility, variation and change of team setups on a frequent basis.

Harry Kane as the target-man scores around 30 goals in the league but the presence of Pulisic, Alli and Eriksen behind will enhance the chances of the Three Lions skipper reclaiming the Golden Boot from Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

A 4-2-3-1 pattern will suit the North Londoners where Pulisic should be rotated alongside Heung-min Son down the left flank and also with Eriksen at times on the opposite side if required.

Also, a 4-3-2-1 won’t be a bad option, where Alli would operate more centrally from a deeper role, allowing Eriksen and Pulisic the free roles just behind Harry Kane. Son, Lamela and Moura will continue as the backups, which means depth in the attack and quality to perform better in Europe where they have already excelled as an admirable force.
