How Arsenal Could Lineup Next Season Fitting In Both Lacazette and Thomas Lemar

Predicted Arsenal Lineup Featuring Alexandre Lacazette And Thomas Lemar

Arsene Wenger has some serious work to do this summer as he will have to add some top class quality players to his squad before the start of the next season. They are also about to lose Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez this summer but are a step closer to landing their long-term transfer target Alexandre Lacazette in this transfer window.

The Lyon star is one of the best goal scorers in Europe at the moment and at just 26, is a great option for Wenger. But the manager will have to find another winger to add to his lineup, as he will have to replace the creativity that Sanchez will take with him.

This has seen Wenger get linked with a move for AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, who has been in sizzling form for the French outfit recently. The Ligue1 outfit recently claimed that Lemar might not stay at the club over the course of the summer and Arsenal are front runners for his signature. So how will the Gunners line up with both the French attackers in their lineup next season?

Wenger likes a 4-2-3-1 system that has worked for a long time. However, the 3-4-2-1 system that gave Arsenal the lift late last season might be what the manager will stick with for next season.

Defence

Petr Cech may yet get some competition for a place in the first team but could retain his place in the goal next season. French international Laurent Koscielny was linked with an exit recently but he is the leader of the side and is expected to stay back and start at the heart of the back-3 for Arsenal.

Laurent Koscielny

Shkodran Mustafi was impressive in his return to England and Wenger should stick with him on the right-hand side of the backline. Rob Holding was also useful last season but Spanish full-back Nacho Monreal was terrific in this new role and should keep his place in the side on the left-hand side of the backline.

Midfield

Though Spaniard Hector Bellerin has been linked with a move back to Barcelona, he is still relatively young and should stay back at Arsenal for more exposure and should start at right wing-back next season. Sead Kolasinac will surely start on the left wing-back, having completed his move on a free transfer from Schalke not too long ago.

Granit Xhaka was excellent at the end of the previous season and unless Wenger spends on a top class midfielder, he should be partnered with Aaron Ramsey in the middle of the park.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is someone who is capable of playing in all positions in the midfield and will probably be used heavily by Arsene Wenger next season.

Thomas Lemar

Attack

While Mesut Ozil is yet to sign a new contract, the German is expected to stay put and keep his place on the right flank.

Alexandre Lacazette and Thomas Lemar should complete the attack for the side, pushing Olivier Giroud (if he stays), Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott to the bench.
