Predicted Manchester City Lineup To Face West Ham United In The Premier League

Manchester City, having already secured the Premier League title with five games remaining, registered a thumping 5-0 win against Swansea City last week and Pep Guardiola would now be eyeing to attain records in their final four fixtures of this incredible domestic campaign.

They are set to travel to London this weekend ahead of their Sunday encounter against David Moyes’ West Ham United, who suffered a 4-1 defeat against Arsenal last weekend.

Probable Manchester City XI

Manager: Pep Guardiola

Formation: 4-3-3

Ederson (GK)

The Brazilian has been City’s first choice all season ahead of veteran Claudio Bravo and is expected to continue between the sticks for the remaining fixtures.

Danilo (RB)

The Brazilian full-back has mostly been explored as a back-up but was handed a start against Swansea City. Should start this game as well.

Nicolas Otamendi (CB)

The Argentine has earned a place in PFA Team of the Year for his consistency and defensive resilience all season. He has been rotated in recent weeks but might be recalled to action for the West Ham fixture.

Aymeric Laporte (CB)

The winter recruit from Athletic Bilbao is enjoying a run of games in City defence as he is getting used to the profile of Premier League football.

Benjamin Mendy (LB)

Missed the majority of the campaign with a cruel knee injury but was back in action versus the Swans as he was introduced in place of Fabian Delph midway through the second half. The Frenchman seems to have regained his fitness and looks ready to start on Sunday.

Fernandinho (CDM)

Served his suspension following 10 yellow cards in domestic competitions but is now back in contention and might be restored in his preferred deeper midfield role for the remaining fixtures.

Kevin De Bruyne (RCM)

Missed out on the PFA Player of the year award but the Belgian has proved why he is one of the complete footballers of this generation. He runs the entire show from midfield, works hard to regain and retain possession, also orchestrates moves high up the pitch to create goal-bound opportunities in a regular manner.

David Silva (LCM)

The playmaker has been sublime all season as he has not only contributed to goals but has also demolished the opponent’s back-line week in week out with his tricky runs, smart one-twos and link-up play from behind.

Bernardo Silva (RW)

The Portuguese attacker has enjoyed a decent debut campaign in Premier League football. Although most of his appearances have been off the bench, Bernardo Silva has proven his abilities to become a success under Pep Guardiola.

Leroy Sane (LW)

Was handed the PFA Young player of the year award as the German sensation has impressed with his composure and creativity down the left flank throughout the campaign. Did not feature against Swansea last week but is likely to be recalled for this weekend’s encounter.

Gabriel Jesus (ST)

The Brazilian has had a season of inconsistency due to injuries and lack of form. However, he is now back among the goals and looks set to conclude the season on a higher note.
