Two Deadline Day Signings Leeds United Should Be Looking To Complete

Leeds United are currently 10th in the Championship despite being top of the table at one point in September. The team has suffered a real dip in form and are clearly looking for replacements and reinforcements to make sure that they can challenge for the playoffs when May comes around. Thomas Christiansen is looking to improve a team that suffered a moral-destroying loss to Millwall at Elland Road last time out.

With the likes of Adam Forshaw already through the door, Leeds will be looking to make sure they have the defensive solidity to prevent this from happening again. However, a progressive manager like Thomas Christiansen knows that the best form of defence can often be attack and Leeds still need to sort out their balance in that department. These are who they can potentially look at:

Ross McCormack

The Aston Villa striker is a former Leeds legend and although he is currently enjoying his football at Melbourne City, it is very likely that he could be tempted back to the Elland Road. The 31-year-old has scored 14 goals in 14 games in Australia and is clearly far better than the level he is playing at.

In his previous stint at Leeds United, he bagged 58 goals in 158 games, which is a terrific return. He is clearly a strong and dangerous striker who can also play on the wing and as a No.10. He would also relish the opportunity to get back to the Championship and prove people wrong, and what better place to do it than at the club where he made his name?

Bradley Dack

The Blackburn Rovers attacking midfielder has been a revelation since his move from Gillingham in the summer. He is a strong physical player who covers a lot of ground. He models his style on Frank Lampard, and like the former Chelsea star, Dack has also managed to get a fair few goals from midfield, racking up 11 already this campaign. Blackburn are close to the top of the table in League One and if Dack stays where he is, he could very well find himself playing Championship football next season.

However, the chance to challenge for a place in the Premier League with one of the biggest teams in the country could be a hard one for him to turn down. Blackburn, too, are not blessed with a lot of money and therefore, a considerable offer would likely turn the Blackburn owners’ heads.
