Fantasy Premier League Tips: 5 Big Players To Avoid This Weekend Including Arsenal And Tottenham Stars

Share

After the excitement of 8 games in the previous round, the Premier League is back in action this week as teams from around the country will yet again be busy fighting for three crucial points. There are few interesting matches coming up, with Arsenal playing Liverpool, Tottenham playing Everton and West Ham playing Chelsea. There are a number of clubs who will be looking to consolidate their place in the points table as well. Along with the Premier League comes the Fantasy Premier League, and managers all around the world will be busy trying to pick the best team from their squad. There are a number of players who could be at their best but there will be a few players who might not be able to stick with their best game. Here are 5 such players you should avoid in your Fantasy Premier League team this weekend:

Petr Cech – Arsenal (vs Liverpool):

The first choice goalkeeper for Wenger, Cech is expected to start for Arsenal in their trip to Anfield. This fixture has traditionally been a high-scoring one and ended 4-3 in the previous outing. Cech, has never been comfortable at Anfield and though he might make a number of saves, Liverpool are sure to breach his goal and he could be a star that can be avoided this weekend.

Kyle Walker – Tottenham Hotspur (vs Everton):

The English defender has been superb this season for spurs and has been their highest point accumulator at the back in the FPL. He is a favorite for many managers but up against the likes of Mirallas, Lookman, and Barkley, he could have a hard time against an in-form Everton side and can be avoided in your team this weekend.

Nacho Monreal – Arsenal (vs Liverpool):

A star that needs to be removed straight away is Arsenal’s Monreal. He is the first choice for Wenger unless he decides to bring Gibbs in for this game. He will be up against one of the best wingers in the league in Sadio Mane. Though he misfired in the previous round, Mane will be licking his lips to take on Monreal who might not win too many points for you this weekend.

Charlie Daniels – AFC Bournemouth (vs Manchester United):

The English defender has won more points than any other outfield player for Bournemouth and has been a decent option for a number of FPL managers recently. He has been in good form but he will be up against the likes of Zlatan, Martial, Mkhitaryan and Pogba this weekend, away from home, and this would be a good time to avoid him in your team.

Winston Reid – West Ham United (vs Chelsea):

The most productive defender for West Ham in the FPL this season, Winston Reid has found some nice form recently and has been in many Fantasy Premier League teams as a fringe player this season. However, he will have a tough time this weekend when he will be up against Diego Costa, Hazard, Willian and Pedro facing an inform Chelsea side at home. So your FPL team can do without Reid for this weekend.
