Fantasy Premier League Tips: 5 Big Players To Pick This Weekend Including Manchester United And Liverpool Stars

Share

After a long week with no Premier League football, the managers around the world can get hooked to their devices yet against this weekend as the Premier League is back in town with yet another round of tasty fixtures. Arsenal’s trip to Anfield will surely be the most entertaining game of the week but Chelsea’s short trip to the Olympic Stadium and Everton’s visit to White Hart Lane are also expected to keep the fans glued to their screens. Manchester United, Manchester City and co have got some easier fixtures but are by no means guaranteed winners. It is not the greatest week for Fantasy Premier League managers who will have to break their heads to get in their stars. But with not much time left for the deadline, let us help you with your selection.

Here are 5 must-have players in your Fantasy Premier League team this weekend:

Sadio Mane – Liverpool (vs Arsenal):

The Senegalese winger misfired in the previous round against Leicester but has been in dangerous form for Liverpool recently. Playing at home, against a side that leaves spaces open, Mane will yet again be effective for Liverpool in this game against Arsenal and up against Nacho Monreal, he will fancy himself to trouble the Arsenal back four. Having already scored against them earlier in the season, Mane could easily earn some serious point in the FPL his weekend.

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal (vs Liverpool):

A must have for most Premier League weeks. Alexis Sanchez was inactive in the previous round but is back in action this week. He has been in sublime form this season and is one of the top earners in the Fantasy Premier League. Playing against a weak Liverpool defence, Sanchez can help his side to a victory. Arsenal have not been in great form but Sanchez on the other hand has been unplayable and having him in the team is surely going to be productive.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Manchester United (v AFC Bournemouth):

The Swede scored the winner in the League Cup final for United last weekend and will yet again start in attack for the Red Devils at home against the Cherries. He is in superb form and will be the danger man on the night for the visitors. Zlatan is already a popular figure in the Fantasy Premier League and if you do not have him yet, this might be a nice time to spend on him. Playing a Bournemouth side that is not in great form, Zlatan might just have a field day at the Old Trafford this weekend.

Sergio Aguero – Manchester City (v Sunderland):

Another player who was absent in the previous round. Aguero is back in action this weekend when Pep Guardiola’s side travel to the Stadium of Light. The Argentine was on target in the FA Cup tie against Huddersfield and he will be up against one of the most brittle defenses in the league at the moment in Sunderland. He has in the past scored plenty of goals against the Black Cats and though playing away from home, he could be the man that can lift City to a victory.

Jordan Pickford – Sunderland (v Manchester City):

How can we exclude the most productive shot stopper in the FPL this season on this list? The young English shot stopper was back in action just last month and has already put in some sizzling performances for David Moyes’ side this season. Sunderland might find it hard to contain Manchester City on the night and it might be up to Pickford to keep them in the game. And if his previous performances are anything to go by, surely he will frustrate the visitors on the night and put in a strong performance.
