Everton vs Manchester United predictions: Manchester United line-up

Manchester United paid the price for complacency and completely forgetting just how good Lionel Messi is and can be. However, while things have not gone according to plan for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the last few weeks, this is his chance to switch things aroud.

Manchester United are still in the race for the top four and have a decent chance of making it there. Their next opponenets are Everton at Goodison Park and that could prove to be tougher than expected.

The Toffees are on a rather good run, losing just two out of their last five games in the Premier League. This includes wins over Arsenal, Chelsea and even West Ham United. It gives the Goodison Park side a chance to fight for the seventh place.

Team News

Ander Herrera, Eric Bailly and Antonio Valencia are all injured and will miss the game.

Probable Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

David de Gea (GK)

He is their first-choice keeper and despite his errors in mid-week, the Spaniard should start.

Diogo Dalot (RB)

A talented right-back, the young Portuguese man has a bright future and needs to play football regularly.

Chris Smalling (CB)

Despite his struggles against Barcelona in the mid-week fixture, Smalling has been very solid at the back.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

The Swede is expected to partner Smalling this weekend and is arguably Manchester United’s best centre-back.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Suspended for the mid-week game, Shaw had to watch as his teammates were ripped apart by Barcelona.

Nemanja Matic (CM)

Another player who was rested by the manager, Matic should find his way back on the team-sheet.

Paul Pogba (LCM)

He’s struggled over the last few weeks and the two penalties at West Ham United did nothing to help his confidence.

Fred (RCM)

The Brazilian has been doing a decent job in the midfield and should be rewarded with a string of appearances.

Jesse Lingard (RW)

Among the many that failed to impress against Barcelona, it’s time for Lingard to step up and show what he can do.

Romelu Lukaku (ST)

He’s currently on a three-game goal drought and that has to end sooner than later.

Alexis Sanchez (LW)

One of Manchester United’s brightest players, the Chilean’s days at the club might be a difficult one and it could do his confidence wonders to go out there and perform well.

Siddhant Lazar

Tom Landry once said "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Football is and always will be the beautiful game. What every child understands, yet every adult struggles to, is that it is a game that defines the nature of the universe. But that's just me.
