Enough is enough: It’s time for Everton to wave goodbye to these 3 players including £23.6m star

New Everton Director of Football, Marcel Brands has revealed that the club will try to offload up to 12 players this summer.

After a forgettable season last term, Everton will look to steady their ship under new boss Marco Silva.

But Brands explained that the Toffees must sell before buying players under Silva in the summer transfer window. The club have a 38-man squad which requires serious trimming.

Keeping that in mind, here are three players Everton should offload this summer.

Kevin Mirallas

Everton shouldn’t think twice about parting ways with Mirallas. The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at his former club Olympiacos, where he made 16 appearances in total in a thoroughly underwhelming stint.

Kevin Mirallas

It is likely that it is down to the Belgian’s attitude, which has been brought into question many times during his Everton career. Mirallas once demonstrated explosive pace and trickery but at 30, he is clearly showing signs of slowing down.

Davy Klaassen

Having scored 20 goals for Ajax in the 2016/17 season, Klaassen was signed by Everton for £23.6m last summer.

The Dutchman arrived in the Premier League amidst a lot of fanfare but he failed to establish himself at Goodison Park, making just three Premier League starts and a total 13 appearances in all competitions.

Davy klaassen

The 25-year-old is an excellent footballer with an exceptional technical ability and goalscoring instincts. The creative midfielder is also able to play inch-perfect through balls in order to help his teammates score but he simply struggled to feature in an under-performing Toffees side last season.

Nevertheless, as per reports, Turkish giants Besiktas have approached Everton with an offer for Klaassen. And it’s the right time for Everton to offload the Dutch international and recoup some money.

Muhamed Besic

Besic was an unfortunate casualty under previous Everton managers Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce.

The Bosnian International had been a regular contributor for Roberto Martinez’s Everton team. He was loaned out to Middlesbrough in January as he struggled for game time at Goodison Park.

At Middlesbrough, Besic was able to flourish as he made 17 appearances, scoring a goal. Consistent game time allowed the 25-year-old to demonstrate his calibre and playmaking skills for the Championship club.

The Bosnian has had a decent Everton career but deserves a fresh start. With Middlesbrough interested in signing him again, the Toffees must make sure they get rid of the central midfielder in the summer transfer window.
