West Brom are all set to face Reading at the Hawthorns in the Championship, hoping to extend their good run of form. The Baggies are coming into this fixture on the back of a 2-2 draw against Sheffield Wednesday in the midweek.
West Brom have done very well so far in the Championship and are fourth on the table, having amassed 21 points in 11 games. Darren Moore’s side have scored goals in abundance and are the division’s top scorers with 27 goals.
However, West Brom’s good run of form was disrupted a couple of weeks back when they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Crystal Palace. They are unbeaten in the last two games and are definitely the favourites going into this game, given that they are a free-scoring side at the moment.
The Baggies have been defensively shaky at times but going forward, they have been a real treat to watch. Moore has made West Brom play an attacking brand of football that has given plenty of joy to the Hawthorns faithful.
West Brom will certainly dominate the game because they are at home and Reading are not in great shape at the moment. Moore’s men will be looking to go all guns blazing from the first blow of the whistle but need to be wary of Reading’s threat from counter-attacks.
All in all, it is a game where West Brom are the favourites if they remain defensively solid and convert their chances at the other end.
