The Premier League saw quite a few quality goals over the last two weekends and the goals keep on coming this weekend as well. While Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle played out draws, there was no end to the action between some of the clubs. If people wanted goals, all they had to do was watch the West Ham – Bournemouth classic, which ended 4-3 in the favour of the new boys with a Callum Wilson hat-trick. That game might have had some goals but we look back at the game week and list out the top three goals of the week.

Samir Nasri vs. Everton

Easily the goal of the weekend, the nonchalance of both Nasri and Toure can be seen but you can’t help but marvel at the finish and ability of both players. Toure had an amazing no look pass to Nasri who didn’t run about or try to blast it into the net, he just chipped the ball above the head of the onrushing Everton goalkeeper and the goal felt like it was no effort at all for both players when in truth you need a lot of skill to pull something off like this.

Diego Costa vs. West Bromwich Albion

The goal might be given to Diego Costa but this goal was a counter- attacker’s delight, the goal came from a West Bromwich attack as they lost the ball and then it was all Chelsea. Willian got the ball and played it quickly to Pedro down the right who fizzed in a great cross for Diego Costa to slide it into goal. The move was lightning quick and barely any player had time to react to the Chelsea attack. Costa got his name on the score sheet as he got his first goal of the season but the credit goes to the team.

James Morrison vs. Chelsea

James Morrison in truth should have had a hat-trick but we will not dwell on that for long. He still deserves credit for scoring twice against the Champions and the second goal was an absolute peach. A delightful cross is fizzed in and you don’t have a lot of time to react, so he just flicks the ball with the top of his head and it just about goes into the top corner. Perfectly placed and not saveable, Morrison surely deserves to be in this list.
