At the moment, it does not seem that Premier League champions Chelsea will buy Blaise Matuidi from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain for £30m(€40m). The deal is not happening yet though there have been speculations talking about it in both the British and the Italian media. The French side considers themselves as one of the biggest clubs in Europe and why shouldn’t they, after all the financial backing that they have and the deals that have been done in recent times.
It seems highly unlikely that they will just allow their prized possession leave and join the west London side for such a small fee.
Even if the 28-year-old France international was surplus to their needs or maybe an offer of the stature of Anthony Martial came along, the deal still seems highly unlikely to happen. Though the Blues might consider Matuidi to be a potential replacement for John Obi Mikel, as it has been recently claimed, the deal will not just simply happen.
A story by The Daily Star, which was recently put up seems utter nonsense and the media outlet claimed that their source was Tuttomercatoweb. On the other hand, the Italian website covered the rumour this week and claimed that the British newspaper was their source. Funny things happen these days, as other British reports have also claimed The Daily Star to be their source, which means this is all just one big joke!
