West Ham United Football Club, based in Stratford, East London, England, was founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks. They reformed in 1900 as West Ham United.
West Ham moved to the Boleyn Ground in 1904, which remained their home ground for more than a century. The club relocated to the London Stadium in 2016.
West Ham, nicknamed “the Irons” and “the Hammers”, have won the FA Cup three times and also lifted the Intertoto Cup in 1999. They are currently managed by Manuel Pellegrini, who was appointed in the summer of 2018.
The club’s majority shareholders are David Sullivan and David Gold with 51.1% and 35.1% respectively.
Billy Bonds holds the record for West Ham appearances, having played 799 first-team matches while Vic Watson is their all-time leading goalscorer with 326 goals.
