Derby Player Ratings vs Blackburn Rovers: Here’s how the Rams fared

Derby County and Blackburn Rovers played out an entertaining but frustrating 0-0 draw at Pride Park on Tuesday night.

The Rams recorded their first draw of the season as Frank Lampard’s men failed to convert on an abundance of chances. Blackburn too had good chances to win the contest but they will be happy with the clean sheet at Derby.

Having won four games in a row, Derby have now gone two without either winning or scoring. Lampard’s side lack the cutting edge in the final third of the pitch.

Derby County Player Ratings

Scott Carson – 6/10

Carson largely went untested against Blackburn. Other than catching the long balls and a couple of regular saves, he was a mere spectator.

Jayden Bogle – 7/10

Bogle again put in a strong display at right-back, often bursting forward with the ball and testing the Blackburn goalkeeper with a couple of low drives. He also put in some delicious crosses for his teammates in the box and remained a constant attacking outlet on the right.

Richard Keogh – 6/10

Keogh stayed focused and kept things tight at the back. He hardly put a foot wrong in the game.

Fikayo Tomori- 6/10

Fikayo Tomori saw an acrobatic overhead kick blocked by Corry Evans on the line. The youngster was defensively solid and hardly gave any room for the Blackburn attackers to breathe.

Craig Forsyth – 5/10

Forsyth had a decent game where his crossing from the left should have been better.

Craig Bryson – 6/10

Bryson started the game ahead of Huddlestone and justified his place in the starting XI. He kept things simple with his passing and worked hard in the middle of the park.

Bradley Johnson – 6/10

Johnson was unlucky not to score, as a goal-line clearance from Richie Smallwood denied him. He was always a threat to Blackburn with his movement and kept things ticking with his presence in the midfield.

Mason Mount – 8/10

Mount had another good game for the Rams where he showed his creativity as well as industry. He had his free-kick come off the bar and remained a threat throughout the game with his intelligent movement.

Florian Jozefzoon – 7/10

Jozefzoon’s pace was too hot to handle for the Blackburn defenders as he constantly stretched them.

Mason Bennett – 6/10

Bennett had the chance to win it for Derby but saw his effort flash past the post right at the death. The winger had a couple of decent half chances where he could have done better.

David Nugent – 6/10

Led the line very well and was a constant pest for the Blackburn defenders.

Substitutes

Harry Wilson – 5/10

Wilson came on with 20 minutes left and added some much-needed impetus to Derby’s attack.

Martyn Waghorn – 4/10

Replaced Bennett with 15 minutes to go but never really had an impact.

Jack Marriott – N/A

Marriott had just above 10 minutes to make an impact but he hardly did anything notable.
