Chelsea continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. Goals from substitute Pedro and Eden Hazard in the second half sealed the deal for Maurizio Sarri’s men against Eddie Howe’s men, who put up a good fight.
Chelsea struggled to carve the openings in the first half, and credits to Bournemouth for that. However, clever substitutions from Sarri tilted the game in favour of the home side. In the end, a comfortable three points for the Blues.
Bournemouth did create a few chances but weren’t clinical enough. Hence, Kepa wasn’t called upon to make a save. He was good with his passing and apart from that, he didn’t have much to do.

Seems to be relishing the new role as a No.8. He is becoming an effective box-to-box midfielder, who can protect the defence and move forward with the ball when required.
Put in a real shift for as long as he stayed on the pitch. Neat passing and showed a good turn of pace to get past the midfielders on a couple of occasions.
A quiet first half but came into his own in the second half and caused Bournemouth a lot of problems. Scored a goal which was deserved.
Started brightly and looked dangerous. The Brazilian fiddled out in the second half and was eventually subbed.
Tried to make a few probing runs but couldn’t match it up with the ball that was played to him. He struggled in the second half when the Cherries sat very deep.
Came on and had an instant impact by working hard and holding the ball to link up with the midfield players.
Added extra energy to the Chelsea attack and took his goal very well.
