Bielsa to make 1 big change – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Leeds United XI to take on Millwall

Predicted Leeds United line-up to face Millwall in the Championship

League leaders Leeds United are back in action this weekend, with a trip to Millwall awaiting them. The Peacocks have made a fine start to the season, winning four of the six games played and drawing the other two. Manager Marcelo Bielsa would be keen to continue the rich vein of form and remain at the top spot.

A tough trip to Millwall awaits though, despite the home side lying 16th in the table. Expect the away team to dominate the game overall.

Team News

Bielsa should have a full squad to choose his line-up from apart from Patrick Bamford, who is out for four months. Any late training injury would be calamitous, as we saw against Swansea when Liam Cooper got injured in the build-up. The Argentine probably needs a full strength squad to pick and rotate because of the upcoming midweek games.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

Bailey Peacock-Farrell (GK)

The goalkeeper had a rough start to the season, however, Bielsa seems to back him.

Luke Ayling

Luke Ayling (RB)

The right-back has been in good form, moving up and down the pitch to impact games on both fronts.

Gaetano Berardi (CB)

The versatile defender has done well to adapt to his new role at centre-back. Should start.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The captain is fit and probably eager to play a big role in Leeds’ run towards Premier League promotion.

Barry Douglas (LB)

As much as Wolves committed a blunder to let go of Douglas, Leeds should be delighted they have Douglas in their line-up.

Mateusz Klich

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

Phillips has been good in the defensive midfield role. Expect him to play in a midfield pivot alongside Mateusz Klich.

Mateusz Klich (CM)

The Pole started playing as a supporting No.10 but he might be deployed in a slightly conservative role in central midfield.

Samuel Saiz (CAM)

The Spaniard has been vital for the Peacocks thus far, creating chances and pressing well off the ball. He is set to be key for Bielsa this season.

Pablo Hernandez (RW)

The winger has shown why he is still one of the best at the club. Should start this game.

Kemar Roofe

Ezgjan Alioski (LW)

Alioski has been in and out of form this season. The manager might expect more consistency from him in the coming games.

Kemar Roofe (ST)

Roofe has been pretty good for the Peacocks leading the line, scoring goals and making probing runs in behind.
