Arsenal Set to Start Without Their Star Defender and Striker

Arsenal look to get their Champions League campaign underway away at Dinamo Zagreb later tonight. The Ukrainian outfit has dominated the domestic league for years. Arsene Wenger will hope that his team can do a good job and come away with 3 points.

Petr Cech
With Cech, Arsenal now have added re-assurance in goal which is crucial in the Champions League. His quality and experience will play a decisive part in Arsenal’s campaign. Cech will be looking to resume his duties in goal.

Hector Bellerin
The young Spaniard made his Arsenal debut in the Champions League last season away at Dortmund. Bellerin has delivered what’s expected of him in recent weeks and will again look to gain some much-needed Champions League experience.

Laurent Koscielny
Koscielny is expected to start after his impressive displays thus far. The Frenchman will most probably partner Gabriel. The two have been rock solid whenever played together.

Gabriel Paulista
Gabriel has been solid and confident in all the games he’s played so far. The Brazilian is still finding his feet at Arsenal. In Koscielny, he’s got a perfect partner who shares many of his qualities. Gabriel is expected to start.

Nacho Monreal
Monreal is one of the first names on the team sheet. He has been tremendous over the past months and has cemented himself as Arsenal’s first choice Left Back ahead of Kieran Gibbs.

Francis Coquelin
Coquelin too is one of the core players in this team and has notched up some really impressive defensive stats in recent weeks. For Arsenal, that was exactly what was missing and Coquelin certainly ticks those boxes. The Frenchman is a guaranteed starter.

Santi Cazorla
Cazorla is the one pulling the strings from midfield. He has developed a remarkable understanding with Coquelin and the two look to have settled in their roles.

Aaron Ramsey
Even though he’s been started on the right flank, Ramsey offers defensive over for young Bellerin on the right side and perhaps a different dimension going forward.

Mesut Ozil
The German is Arsenal’s main player in the final third. He controls all the Arsenal movement in the final third and for that reason, he’s an indispensable player.

Alexis Sanchez
Sanchez was impressive in the early stages of the Champions League last season and will be hoping to build on that. He will have to perform brilliantly if Arsenal are to put up a serious challenge for the trophy.

Theo Walcott
His inclusion is almost inevitable after scoring against Stoke. He needs to improve on his finishing but provides pace upfront.
