West Ham United match report vs Crystal Palace and Twitter reactions

West Ham United made their way back into the top half after a superb comeback win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. The Hammers triumphed 3-2 at the London Stadium as Robert Snodgrass, Chicharito and Felipe Anderson got on the scoresheet.

The Hammers have now picked up three consecutive victories for the first time since December 2016. Crystal Palace definitely troubled the Hammers on the night but were unable to hold onto their slender lead.

James McArthur opened the scoring in the first half as West Ham’s cries for offside were all waved away. The London Stadium looked angry and frustrated for a bit. The Eagles pretty much dealt with everything that came their way early in the first half.

The Hammers definitely missed the presence of striker Marko Arnautovic on the night. West Ham went into halftime a goal down, with Palace coming close to adding a second before the whistle. Pellegrini then made a tactical switch by replacing Lucas Perez with Andy Carroll, who provided that aerial threat in the final third.

West Ham started the second-half by equalising in the 48th minute through Robert Snodgrass. Mamadou Sakho’s clearance from Pablo Zabaleta’s cross dropped to the Scottish international who took a beautiful shot from 20 yards out.

The Hammers then started to pour the pressure on Roy Hodgson’s side as they attacked in numbers. Javier Hernandez then handed them the lead after latching onto the rebound from Felipe Anderson’s saved free-kick.

The Brazilian then capped off another impressive performance by curling a stunning shot past Wayne Hennessey from the edge of the area. Palace did hand them a nervy end after Jeffrey Schlupp came on to score the Eagles’ second on the night. But West Ham carefully saw out the win and took home the three points.

Here’s how some West Ham fans reacted to the win vs Crystal Palace:
