Predicted Leicester City Line-up To Face Burnley In The Premier League

Leicester City will face off against high-fliers Burnley in gameweek 15 of the Premier League, at the King Power Stadium, on Saturday.

The Foxes have had a turn of fortunes since Claude Puel took over as the manager of the club and they have just lost once since the former Southampton boss took over the reins. They beat title challengers Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at home in the midweek fixture, following which Leicester moved to 9th place in the league table. Puel will be hoping to add three more points to the tally when the Clarets visit at the weekend.

Team News

Summer signing Kelechi Iheanacho is sidelined for the clash due to illness, the manager has confirmed. Veteran defender Robert Huth remains unavailable with a foot injury, along with midfielder Matty James (Achilles), both of whom are expected to return in two weeks.

Here’s how the Foxes might line up against Sean Dyche’s side:

Manager: Claude Puel

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

The 31-year old Danish international has just three clean sheets to his name so far this term in the Premier League. Will want to improve that by keeping a shut-out on Saturday.

Danny Simpson (RB)

A consistent performer for the Foxes week in week out, former Newcastle United man Danny Simpson is a guaranteed starter at right-back.

Harry Maguire

Wes Morgan (CB)

In the heart of the defence, club captain Wes Morgan should keep his place in the playing XI. Will have a physical battle on his hands against the likes of Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.

Harry Maguire (CB)

Alongside the captain, it should be summer arrival, Harry Maguire. The 24-year old has featured in all league games for the Foxes this term and that is not likely to change.

Christian Fuchs (LB)

At left-back, Austrian international Christian Fuchs should return to the playing XI, after having sat out of the midweek win over Spurs.

Riyad Mahrez (RW)

The Algerian scored a brilliant goal against Tottenham and will be high on confidence coming into the game against Burnley.

Vicente Iborra

Wilfred Ndidi (CM)

Has continued to build upon an impressive debut season with solid performances in the middle of the park this season. A definite starter.

Vicente Iborra (CM)

The former Sevilla captain has risen to prominence in the past month or so and has forged a strong partnership alongside Ndidi. Will occupy the second central midfield slot.

Demarai Gray (LW)

The youngster wasn’t a part of the playing XI against Spurs but should be in line for a return, with Marc Albrighton expected to make way.

Shinji Okazaki (SS)

The Japanese forward remains a key player purely due to the industry and the work-rate he brings to the table. Should keep his place in the line-up.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

Leading the line for the Foxes should be star striker Jamie Vardy. The England international has scored 7 goals in 14 league games and will be keen on adding more on Saturday.
