3 Strong Willed Replacements For Arsene Wenger At Arsenal: Featuring A Controversial Figure

Share

Arsenal are at it again and once again the season is over after a horrible new year. The Gunners are out of the FA Cup and are more or less certain of getting knocked out of the Champions League. The Premier League title is also out of touch since they would need both Tottenham and Leicester slipping up big time.

Questions are being asked about Arsene Wenger once again and it could well be this season that he finally gets the sack unless Arsenal can miraculously win the Premier League crown. There have been many managers who have been linked with a move to the Emirates.

The Gunners need someone with a strong mentality to change things at the club and here are three managers who could well be the ones that get things right at Arsenal.

  1. Diego Simeone

Cholo is the perfect option to replace Wenger, the Argentine has turned Atletico Madrid around with his brand of gritty football but he does have a lot of style and has worked with some stars such as Radamel Falcao and now Antoine Griezmann.

The only issue could be about the style of play that Simeone produces at the club. It isn’t the most attractive in the world but it does produce results and that is something that the Arsenal faithful would certainly take with open arms than the capitulating results they get time on end at the end of a season.

2. Frank de Boer

The current Ajax manager has always been linked with a big money move to a Premier League club and was one of the front runners for the Liverpool job even before Jurgen Klopp came into the scene.

De Boer could be a great option for Arsenal and the fact that he also has to deal with young players from the academy would only mean that the work done by Arsene is continued. He has played for Barcelona and now manages one of the top clubs in the Netherlands. De Boer is another young manager looking to do something big and moving to Arsenal could well be a great option for him and for the Gunners as well.

3. Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho

This might be a controversial figure in the Premier League but Mourinho does make his team mentally strong, alright maybe this season did not go as expected for the Portuguese but the former Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid manager has a history of making tough teams and more importantly, winning stuff as well.

The Chelsea man is without a job now and even though Arsenal fans may loathe him, he can get the job done and make Arsenal at least, will win a Premier League crown quickly, even though he could get sacked in a couple of years, is that a risk worth taking to win the big prize?
