3 Reasons Why Arsenal Will Win The League

The Premier League gets more interesting with each week of the games going by, the latest case being Leicester’s loss against Arsenal. The Gunners were actually behind for a lot of the game after Jamie Vardy scored a penalty.

It took a red card for Danny Simpson and Mesut Ozil’s magic to help Arsenal break a stubborn Leicester defence with Theo Walcott scoring and then Danny Welbeck of all people came up with the winning gaol deep into stoppage time.

Arsenal now close the gap on the Foxes to just two points and 12 games remain in the season. While the Foxes still remain the favourites for the title, Arsenal do have a great chance of winning the league after more than a decade.

With belief back on their side, we provide three reasons as to why the Gunners could win the league.

  1. Belief

Arsenal have not won the league since 2004 and that is too long for a club of this size. The Gunners though have qualified for the Champions League every season but that would not be enough for the club.

Things started to turn around a couple of years ago when they won the FA Cup and repeated the feat last season. The bit is between their teeth and the Gunners know that they can have a great run in the end of the season, something that they have done over the years. It is just 12 games more and the Gunners should trust themselves to win at least 11 of them.

2. Inexperience of Leicester

This could be the defining moment of the league as Leicester did crack under the pressure and with the Foxes going on to play some tough fixtures, including a final day game away at the Etihad, the team that has become a story for the ages could fall short.

They might have one of the most experienced managers in the world but Ranieri never won the Premier League with Chelsea and well even the players, barring Robert Huth, have never had such a chance of winning the league. They still are leading the table though but this defeat could have dealt a massive blow and it could lead them to slide down the table.

3. The players coming back

Arsenal might have been a bit lucky with the goal coming at the end of the game but it was what they deserved after Leicester went down to 10-men. The Gunners though had an unlikely scorer for the final goal, Danny Welbeck, someone who hasn’t played much this season.

Francis Coquelin

Alexis Sanchez, Francis Coquelin and even Jack Wilshere could return to the side pretty soon and that will only give Arsenal a greater number of players to rotate and push for the title. Squad strength would be extremely important now and Arsenal do have the numbers to make a great run for the Premier League title.
