Three Players Who Could Leave Arsenal At The End of This Season

Following a gruelling January transfer window, Arsenal are once again expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window. The Gunners have already offloaded the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin whilst signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earlier this month.

However, head coach Arsene Wenger has insisted that the Premier League giants will continue their spending spree in the summer, with the likes of Malcom, Max Meyer and Christian Pulisic on their radar. While there might be numerous acquisitions in the summer, the club could also let go of few of their unwanted players in order to balance the entire roster.

Here are three Arsenal stars who could definitely leave the club this summer.

Calum Chambers

After coming back from his loan spell at Middlesbrough at the start of the season, Calum Chambers has slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal this term.

The former Southampton youngster has made only four appearances in the Premier League this season, often being overlooked by head coach Arsene Wenger. In fact, the Frenchman has preferred youngster Rob Holding instead of the seemingly forgotten defensive prodigy this campaign.

In addition, Nacho Monreal’s impressive performances as a centre-back haven’t helped either as the 23-year-old struggles with lack of game time at Arsenal. This may force him to leave the Emirates next season. While Per Mertesacker’s retirement at the end of this campaign could open up a CB spot next season, it’s highly likely that the Gunners will vouch for a new centre-back from the transfer market instead of instilling hopes on Calum Chambers.

Mohamed Elneny

One of the most criticised Arsenal players this season, Mohamed Elneny could soon fall down the pecking order at Arsenal, mostly due to Jack Wilshere’s impressive performances so far this season.

The Egyptian has struggled to impose his authority in the Premier League, often failing to provide any creativity in the middle third of the pitch. Jack Wilshere’s string of promising outings hasn’t helped either.

The Gunners are even ready to award Wilshere a new contract, which will likely pave the way for Elneny to leave the Emirates next season. Earlier this year, West Ham United were seemingly interested in the services of the 25-year-old before they signed Portuguese international Joao Mario on loan from Inter Milan.

Danny Welbeck

Last but not least, Danny Welbeck’s chances of leaving Arsenal next season are seemingly high, especially after the acquisition of Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese International has also got off to a flying start in the Premier League, and with the presence of Alexandre Lacazette in the team, Danny Welbeck may find it very difficult to get proper game time at Arsenal from now on.

Premier League side Crystal Palace and Turkish giants Besiktas were said to be interested in the services of the former Manchester United striker, who has scored 22 goals in 93 competitive matches for Arsenal.
