3 Clubs Who Can Snatch Julian Draxler From Arsenal Including Manchester United

Share

As major tabloids claim, Premier League Giants Arsenal are atop of the list to sign Schalke’s 20 year old wonder kid Julian Draxler in the coming summer. Manager Arsene Wenger was linked to move for Draxler in January this January transfer window but any sort of deal failed to materialize. And now there have been claims that clubs all around Europe have been linked for the attacking midfielder, who can also play as a second striker, here are the three clubs who can snatch the Schalke prodigy from Arsenal’s gasp,

1. Bayern Munich:

Draxler

According to the SkySports, Draxler has refused to rule out a move to last year’s quadruple winners and German Giants Bayern Munich pointing to Manuel Neuer’s example. The Bundesliga Champions are already a potent force in Europe and even though manager Pep Guardiola has a plethora of midfielders to choose from, Draxler’s arrival at the Allianz Arena would make the Bavarian club even more lethal. The twenty year old is an incisive passer of the ball, graceful in possession and his poise on the ball is beyond his tender age. He can play as second striker or as a winger or as an attacking midfielder who can find the back of the net quite often than not. No doubt Guardiola will have another gem to work with if this deal does go through.

2. Juventus

Even though German prodigies are known to ply their trade in their own country, an offer to play for one of the Italian giants may tempt Draxler to go to Italy. The likes of Pogba, Marchisio and Vidal have been linked to moves away from Turin, meaning, manager Antonio Conte will have to refurbish his central line come this summer. Draxler’s release clause stands at 40m but Juventus aren’t the one who are fazed by the fiscal ramification. The Old Lady are insurmountable in the Serie A and with the likes of Roma and Napoli far behind in terms of squad depth, make no mistake, the current Schalke wonder kid will be a stupendous addition to their already impressive rooster.

3. Manchester United

By all probability, David Moyes will be handed a massive transfer kitty in the summer to refurnish his squad. At the top of Moyes’s wish list is certainly Draxler’s name but there are concerns whether he would join a club which maybe without Champions League football next term. The Red Devils are currently eleven points off the fourth and final place from a Champions League berth and  given United’s faltering campaign, they would mostly miss the Europe’s elite competition next season. However, Draxler no doubt would be a terrific addition to the United squad as he would sit right on the top of opposition with his attacking forays and incisive passing, that too linking up with Mata, Rooney and Van Persie would be a formation made in heaven.
