3 Best Value For Money Signings Done In Summer By Premier League Clubs Featuring West Ham And Leicester City

Share

The Premier League is half way through the season and this has been one of the most unpredictable seasons in the history of the league. No one expected Leicester to be at the top of the league, no one thought that Chelsea would have such a poor season and even sack Jose Mourinho and who would have expected the new boys in the league, Watford, Norwich and Bournemouth doing this well?

There have been many stellar performances this season and here is a list of the best deal teams have gotten so far this season.

Dimitri Payet

It still is a surprise that no big club in the Premier League thought about signing the talented French winger. It was West Ham who decided to take the plunge for the Marseille winger and he has been an absolute revelation for the team.

Payet has been exceptional for the Hammers and was the reason for their great start to the season. He was brought to London for around £12 million and has scored five times and assisted in three goals as well in the league. West Ham though have missed the creator due to injury but will be hopeful that he can come back to the team and get them firing all over again.

N’Golo Kante

While Vardy and Mahrez have been getting all the plaudits for this season by Leicester, there is a third person in the team who deserves a special mention. N’Golo Kante was brought into the team from SM Caen for around £6 million and that has been one of the shrewdest deals in the Premier League this season.

The French central midfielder averages four tackles per game and 4.2 interceptions this season and is one of the best central midfielders in the league. The 24-year-old might not have been a household name in the Premier League, but after his stellar performances with Leicester this season, he could well be on to a bigger club pretty soon.

Manuel Lanzini

Slaven Bilic certainly knows how to get a deal done, apart from Payet coming into the club; he does have another star in the making that is the Argentine Manuel Lanzini. The 22-year-old was playing football in the UAE and is on loan in London.

Lanzini has been one of the unsung heroes this season for the Hammers. He has a great delivery from dead-ball situations and Bilic will be hopeful of signing him on a permanent basis soon. The Argentine has scored four times for the Hammers and has one assist to his name so far and will be looking to do a bit more by the time the season ends.
