Norwich City came from three goals down to take a point out of a mad game against Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road to stay second in the Championship table on Boxing Day. Matty Cash and Jack Robinson scored the goals for the away side, with the former scoring twice.
Mario Vrancic and Onel Hernandez netted for the home side late on, with the latter scoring twice and both of them in the injury time.
Forest led through Cash in the stoppage time of the first-half with a low shot against the run of play. Robinson smashed in the second 20 minutes after the restart to assert the away side’s control in the game. The contest seemed to be over when Cash scored his second goal of the game in the 74th minute, with a sweeping confident finish.
However, the Norwich comeback began. They were relentless in their attacks without getting much reward up until then. Mario Vrancic’s deflected shot in the 77th minute instilled some belief into the team.
Hernandez then struck the second goal for the hosts in the fourth minute of added time. Hernandez netted again, this time in the eighth minute of stoppage time. There were seven minutes of promised added time due to various stoppages and Norwich took advantage of that.
Scenes after that equaliser at the Carrow Road were something special. They stay second in the table, three points clear of third-placed West Brom and three behind leaders Leeds United.
