A report on Monday afternoon had looked to calm things down in Spain, after Spanish newspaper AS were earlier blaming Sergio Ramos and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez partly for the chaos at Real Madrid. Ramos was blamed for contract disputes, while Perez was blamed for falling out with the club’s best players, yet again.
However, there was a complete twist on Tuesday’s edition, which raised more speculations regarding the Spanish international’s exit from the club.
It stated that the 29-year-old’s brother Rene had met Manchester United officials in April and the Premier League giants have offered Ramos €12m per year (160k per week), after tax to sign for the Red Devils.
AS also further added that the Premier Leage giants would offer €30m plus David De Gea for the defensive superstar, which the newspaper see as a total value of up to €75m.
Well, either side is in need of more quality additions, as the two European giants ended a trophyless campaign. Louis van Gaal’s side will also be making a return to Champions League football and the Dutchman knows the importance of a good defence, if he hopes to win any trophies in the upcoming season.
