Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United played their first game on Sunday as the Red Devils secured a 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic. While most of the players participated in the match, a few of them could be absent when the season actually begins.
According to Caught Off Side, Louis Van Gaal’s signing Marcos Rojo could be on his way out of Old Trafford soon. The player apparently is a target for Villareal and may be joining the La Liga side soon. Marcos Rojo was signed for €20 million and with three years left on his contract United could receive a transfer fee close to their purchase price. Villareal will be playing in Champions League this season and a move could bode well for the player as well.
Marcos Rojo is a defender by trade and United has already purchased Eric Bailly from Villareal earlier during the transfer window. At 26 year old the Argentina international is a decent player but he may not be suitable for Mourinho’s game plan.
