Premier League giants Manchester United have now confirmed that two young mid-fielders Ben Pearson and Joe Rothwell have been sent away on loan to Barnsley until January. The report states that the two youngsters will be spending the first few months of the upcoming season with the Yorkshire side, as they look to get some first team football.
An article on ManUtd.com assured that, “Manchester United midfielders Ben Pearson and Joe Rothwell have joined League One club Barnsley on loan until 3 January 2016.”
Pearson has already made 20 appearances during a temporary spell with the club in 2014/15 and the former United Academy Player of the Year told Barnsley’s official website, “I had a great time here last season – making my professional debut – and want to pick up where I left off but help take us that one step further.”
Further, Rothwell added, “I’m really excited to be here. I’ve heard a lot about the place from Ben Pearson. He couldn’t speak highly enough of his time here and I just can’t wait to get going.”
