Manchester United are reportedly interested in Sporting CP prodigy Gelson Martins. According to reports from the Record, United and Real Madrid are keen on signing the player.
Martins broke into Sporting first team last year making 29 league appearances for the club, which includes featuring for cup competitions for the club last season. The player already has two goals and three assists to his credit in six league matches so far.
The player’s form during the Champions League match at Santiago Bernabeu impressed Real and hence the club is keeping a keen eye on the player.
The player is naturally a right footer, however, he is equally capable of playing with the left foot and can also be deployed in the middle. Considered as a treat where long range is concerned, the youngster is known for his pace.
United have already defeated Real Madrid in transfer front having successfully signed Pogba, Real will surely give tough competition to the Red Devils over Martins.
