World-class Kane – The Best And The Worst Rated Tottenham Players From The 3-0 Win vs Burnley

Share

Final Score: Burnley 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur

Burnley were blown apart by a Harry Kane hurricane on their own Turf as a hat-trick from the England striker demolished the in-form Clarets. His goals came in the 7th, 69th and the 79th minute. The spearhead has now equalled Alan Shearer’s record for most goals in a calendar year and has the opportunity to surpass the great man on Boxing Day. After a few hiccups, Spurs are giving it a rattle again and are just one point behind 4th-placed Liverpool. They play the early kick-off game against Southampton on Boxing Day next.

Tottenham Player Ratings

Hugo Lloris: 7/10

He came off his line to grab the ball well but apart from that, a boring evening for the skipper. The Frenchman was impeccable with his distribution.

Serge Aurier: 8/10

He got forward with conviction and covered a lot of ground. Despite spending so much time forward, he was barely caught out of position.

Davinson Sanchez: 8.5/10

He sent back all the long balls that came his way, used his strength and beat his opponent strikers in all aspects when they were up against him.

Jan Vertonghen: 8.5/10

Was not really tested but whenever he was, tidied up quite well. The Belgian was rock solid.

Ben Davies: 6.5/10

He got forward with ease, found a lot of width but lacked the quality he usually possesses in his crossing.

Moussa Sissoko: 7/10

As usual, he gave Spurs an attacking edge and a zip in midfield. But his finishing was just poor.

Eric Dier: 8/10

He protected and shielded the back four wisely. The Englishman just sat back and waited for an attack, and then took it out from its roots to help his team move on with their business.

Heung-Min Son: 9/10

Full of energy, full of pace and precision. His movement on and off the ball was absolutely exquisite. A bundle of energy that Burnley could not handle.

Christian Eriksen: 7.5/10

He was very strong with his range of passing. Eriksen provided crosses with ease, kept things moving and was in full flow at one stage of the game.

Dele Alli: 7/10

He was in the middle of all the crime scenes that happened at Turf Moor. First, the challenge early on in the game and then the penalty. Nonetheless, he was quite creative in the final third and worked very hard to get past players and make things happen.

Harry Kane: 10/10

Everything he did had a golden touch. When he carried the ball forward in the counter-attack, he was effective. When he dribbled all alone and tried to find room, he was on top of his game. Three lethal strikes from Kane just took him steps above all the other players on the football pitch in this game.

Substitutes

Mousa Dembele: 7/10

He came, took his marker and was a beast in midfield for that short stint. Showed how good his technique is, yet again.

Erik Lamela: N/A

Just a few touches on the ball, couldn’t really make anything happen. Played too little to be given a score.

Fernando Llorente: N/A

He was subbed in only to see off the game and barely had any say.
