Chelsea came from behind against Cardiff City to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, winning the game 4-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Sol Bamba gave Cardiff a shock lead after just 16 minutes but Chelsea hit back through an Eden Hazard double before the break.
The Belgian forward then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot before Willian added gloss to the scoreline with an exquisite goal from outside the box.
Was rooted to his line for the Cardiff opener and made one excellent punch from a corner to clear the danger. He was largely untroubled after the break.
A very good outing for Azpilicueta, who bombed down the right flank with purpose. As reliable as ever, he made some really good blocks and was defensively diligent throughout the game.
Another dominant display at the back from Rudiger. He played an excellent ball through for the opening Chelsea goal.
Was a bit shaky while defending the aerial balls and always seems to carry a casual approach. However, Luiz kept things tight at the back today.
An industrious display from Alonso, who spent much of the time in the opposition’s half. He is really flourishing in his left-back role and was once again a reliable attacking outlet for the Blues.
Kante had a rare quiet day as he ceded possession a couple of times. One can spare him since he is getting used to a new position under Sarri.
Jorginho was ineffective in the first half as Chelsea struggled to impose themselves on Cardiff. However, he improved after the break and enjoyed a lot more possession, controlling the tempo of the game with his simple and quick passing.
Forced Neil Etheridge into a smart first-half save and provided good attacking impetus from the middle of the park. However, his game was cut short as picked up a knock just after the break.
Industrious as always, Pedro tried a lot to create things and forced Etheridge into a good save before his curling shot went just wide.
Hazard once again showed why he is so important for Chelsea. He danced past defenders, created openings for his teammates, linked up play well and got a well-deserved hat-trick. Phenomenal stuff!
Giroud’s hold up play was excellent against Cardiff. Supplied two assists and justified his selection ahead of Alvaro Morata.
Came on for Kovacic and showed a lot of energy in the middle of the park.
Willian came on for Pedro with 20 minutes left and made a stunning impression. Scored a peach of a goal to wrap up a brilliant afternoon.
Came on for Hazard but had little time to make an impact.
