World-class Aguero – The Best And The Worst Rated Man City Players From The 4-0 Win vs Bournemouth

Share

Final Score: Manchester City 4-0 Bournemouth

Two goals from Sergio Aguero and one apiece from Danilo and Raheem Sterling helped Manchester City to 17 wins in a row, a record of theirs they are breaking every week. Sergio Aguero netted his 100th goal at the Etihad Stadium. Raheem Sterling, who has been one of the best this campaign, converted an Aguero pass before Danilo slotted it home to pile more misery on the Cherries.

Manchester City are now looking impossible to beat and there is no stopping them as they are on 55 points with just half of the season completed. They have 18 wins and a draw, a jaw-dropping record. It was yet another free-flowing, energetic and commanding display by Pep Guardiola’s team. Overall, a comfortable afternoon with barely any threat of dropping points.

Manchester City Player Ratings

Ederson: 7/10

Good passing as usual but horrible judgement to allow Wilson on goal. Eddie Howe’s boys didn’t really test him.

Kyle Walker: 8/10

Ran up and down the pitch, kept hold of the ball and showed lots of energy.

Vincent Kompany: 8.5/10

Fine distribution with the long balls and diagonals. Defensively, he put up a neat display.

Nicholas Otamendi: 8.5/10

Always in the right position during set-pieces and made it look as though he didn’t need a centre-back partner at times. A formidable performance.

Fabian Delph: 8/10

Not much to worry about as he wasn’t really tested. He did allow a few crosses to go in, but no real damage was done. He played like a defensive midfielder when 10 Manchester City bodies were in the opposition half. His skill with the ball was a treat to watch.

Fernandinho: 8/10

Solid show yet again. He barely let the Cherries move the ball around in midfield. With a lot of optimism, he won the ball back higher up the pitch.

David Silva: 8.5/10

He effortlessly got past players and showcased his trickery with well-waited passes and strong link up play. His touch was almost perfect.

Kevin De Bruyne: 7.5/10

No nonsense display from him. Not much extraordinary to cheer for, not much to complain about. His crossing and switching of play though were first class.

Leroy Sane: 6.5/10

His form has dipped over the last few weeks. He isn’t looking that dangerous down the left with his passing into the channel or while trying to get his shot away. Otherwise, he provided the width that the attack needed.

Raheem Sterling: 8.5/10

Scored his 16th goal of the season. Sterling has already lost all his haters many would say. He was direct and quick, a real counter attacking threat, with the best example being the third goal. The Englishman’s confidence is clearly shown in his composure while shooting.

Sergio Aguero: 9.5/10

Two goals and one assist! When Kun Aguero is in the mood, he is unstoppable. The Argentine dribbled around marvellously in spite of the number of bodies in the box. He was involved in the build-up play and kept creating something all game.

Substitutes

Bernardo Silva: 8/10

A beautiful cross to Sterling for the second. He found his zone very quickly and found spaces to use. A lively performance.

Ilkay Gundogan: 7/10

It was too easy for him. He got forward, supplied passes forward, got involved in the attack and ruled the midfield after coming on.

Danilo: 8/10

Got forward with statement and barely had anything to do defensively. His goal was a superb finish, one from the top draw for a left-back.
