Windass And Pena On The Wings, Miller Up Front – Predicted 3-4-3 Rangers Line-Up To Face Ross County

Predicted Rangers Line-up To Face Ross County In Scottish Premiership

Rangers’ topsy-turvy form continues and after two successive disappointing defeats, they secured a win double against rivals Aberdeen before topping that off by making an official approach for their manager Derek McInnes.

The squad of players need to carry on concentrating on their football only and this match represents a great chance for them to solidify their position in 2nd place by beating Ross County.

Lee Wallace and Graham Dorrans are still out through injury, while Ryan Jack is suspended for this game having been sent off at Pittodrie last weekend. Assuming Bruno Alves is available, Ross McCrorie may be moved into the midfield to compensate for the losses while Kenny Miller may continue up front despite the availability of Alfredo Morelos.

Graeme Murty may try the 3-4-3 formation which worked so well at Aberdeen last time out:

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Graeme Murty

GK – Wes Foderingham

Jak Alnwick continues to push for a chance in the side but for now is likely to miss out once more to Foderingham.

CB – David Bates

Attempting this formation and missing two key central midfielders means pushing Rangers’ squad to the limits, though Bates did do well towards the end of last season and can start again here after his appearance at Aberdeen.

CB – Bruno Alves

This formation depends on Alves or Fabio Cardoso playing in this role and I’m sure at least one will be available.

Bruno Alves

CB – Danny Wilson

Wilson scored a fine looping header at Pittodrie to put Rangers ahead and will be a danger from set pieces once more.

RWB – James Tavernier

This formation probably suits Tavernier who is more entitled to get forward without the worry of getting back into position.

LWB – Declan John

Carries on in good form in the absence of Wallace and, like Tavernier, he likes to play further forward.

CM – Ross McCrorie

He’s going to be a fine central defender, but he can also play this role and may be needed here due to injuries and suspensions.

CM – Jason Holt

The former Hearts man is suddenly very important in the context of Rangers missing their players and will start centrally again.

Josh Windass

RW – Carlos Pena

May flank Kenny Miller with Windass, or even play up top with Miller out in this position.

LW – Josh Windass

Scored last time out and has really found his final touch, something which had been missing early in the season.

ST – Kenny Miller

Whether up top or on the right of this formation, the versatile old timer will put his shift in again.
