Predicted Sheffield United line-up to face Blackburn in the Championship

Sheffield United travel to Ewood Park when they play Blackburn Rovers in their Championship clash on Wednesday.

The Blades will be high on confidence after they enjoyed a comeback victory at Millwall on Saturday. Sheffield are in brilliant form at the moment with six wins from eight and will be confident of beating hosts Blackburn in the midweek Championship fixture.

Team News

Midfielder Paul Coutts made his return from injury against Millwall but was an unused substitute in the game. Chris Wilder has no injury concerns ahead of the Blackburn game.

Probable Sheffield United XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Chris Wilder

Dean Henderson (GK)

Henderson has been a reliable presence in goal for the Blades and will retain his place against Blackburn.

Chris Basham (RCB)

An assured player in the back-three, Basham has become a bit creative in recent weeks.

John Egan (CB)

Sheffield’s defensive wall, Egan is never afraid to put his head in dangerous areas. He is a certain starter for the midweek clash with Blackburn.

Jack O’Connell (LCB)

O’Connell is a powerful defender who relishes aerial duels. He is a good passer of the ball as well.

Kieron Freeman (RWB)

Freeman is a lively presence at right wing-back, often tends to go forward and join the attacks. He is expected to start the match at Ewood Park.

Enda Stevens (LWB)

Stevens is always a threat going forward and seems to have grown in confidence in recent weeks.

Oliver Norwood

Oliver Norwood (CM)

Norwood is proving to be a top acquisition for the Blades. He is constantly dishing out impressive performances and has become such an indispensable figure for Wilder.

John Fleck (CM)

Fleck brings a lot of steel and energy to Sheffield’s midfield. He covers a lot of ground, intercepts opposition’s play and pops up with the odd goals.

Mark Duffy (CAM)

Duffy is the creative hub of the team. He links the midfield with the attack so well with his creativity and incisive passing. A certain starter against Blackburn.

Billy Sharp (RS)

Five goals in nine games is a fantastic return for Sharp, who is a tireless worker off the ball. He not only brings goals for Wilder but also his work ethic and leadership qualities make him such an important member of the club.
