Why Man City’s 7-goal youngster could be a perfect addition for a goal-shy Swansea side

Celina could help the Swans make a quick return to the Premier League

Swansea City will be aiming to bounce back from a disastrous campaign last time out. The Welsh club was relegated from the Premier League and will ply their trade in the Championship next season.

The Swans appointed Graham Potter as the club’s new head coach. The manager made the move to England after impressing with Swedish outfit Ostersunds.

He will be aiming to get some business done before the start of the new season. As the club embarks on a new journey, they are certainly going to have to bolster their squad. Swansea have been linked with Manchester City winger Bersant Celina over the last few days.

Graham Potter is reportedly interested in signing the youngster after watching his impressive displays for Ipswich Town last season.

The youngster came through the ranks of Manchester City’s academy before moving it to the senior squad in 2014. He has since gone on to make just 4 senior appearances for the club.

Graham Potter wants to add more to his squad after signing Joel Asoro from Sunderland and Yan Dhanda from Liverpool. With the arrival of Riyad Mahrez at Manchester City, Celina will fall further down the pecking order, so the youngster could be interested in a move.

He made a total of 35 appearances in the Championship last season, scoring 7 goals. He also scored 1 goal in 2 League Cup appearances. The striker was one of Ipswich Town’s main driving forces in the attack.

He was full of energy and excitement in the final third. The 21-year-old boasts an impressive dribbling ability on the ball. He’s also excellent at taking long-range shots.

Graham Potter should certainly the sign the player before the start of the new season. He would bring considerable depth and strength to Swansea’s offensive setup.

Swansea were a really goal-shy team in the Premier League last season and the arrival of Bersant Celina could solve that problem for Graham Potter.

The Swans have already flown to Germany to kick off their pre-season tour. The Welsh club will be starting with two 60-minute games against Magdeburg and Italian side Genoa on Saturday. The sooner they sign the player, the sooner he can join up with the squad in Germany.
