According to Manchester United’s official website, the Red Devils have agreed on a deal for AS Monaco youngster Hannibal Mejbri.
The move, which is believed to have cost United in the region of £9m, is yet to receive the seal of approval from FIFA, however.
A report from Daily Express further states that top English clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and even Tottenham Hotspur were vying for the 16-year-old’s signature.

Born in 2003, Mejbri embarked on his footballing journey with the youth teams of Paris FC and AC Boulogne-Billancourt. He had joined AS Monaco in August 2018 after garnering widespread attention for his prolific displays.
Interestingly enough, Mejbri’s father is a former footballer and played in Tunisia. Hence, it is clear as to where the youngster gets his talent.
As far as his international career is concerned, he can represent either France or Tunisia as he possesses dual citizenship. That said, Mejbri has only featured for France at the U16 level so far.
An attacking midfielder by trade, Mejbri is fast emerging as one of the most promising youngsters in world football and with good reasons.
