The Premier League clubs are all searching for some top class talents to add to their squad this summer and have been looking at some of the biggest names in world football. But some of the top clubs are also looking to improve the youth quality in their ranks and are looking at starlets like Broughton.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Manchester United are set to battle it out with Merseyside outfit Everton and London-based outfit Tottenham Hotspur to secure the services of Broughton before the start of the new season. Having started his youth career with local side Rossendale United, the 16-year old is easily one of the most impressive midfielders up for show in the domestic circuit in England. He impressed everyone with his services for Rossendale as a teenager and earned himself a trial with the Trotters in October 2014.

In his trial, he impressed the staff and the manager at the Macron Stadium and earned a scholarship to play for the club back in December 2015. Evert since, he has been an integral part of the Bolton U18’s side and is growing in stature week after week.

He has been one of the best players for the Bolton junior side and Phil Parkinson, who helped Bolton back to the Championship, wants to use him in his first team regularly and is not ready to let him leave this summer.

A central midfielder with immense potential on the ball, Broughton is already showing a great understanding of the game and his ability to play in any position in the midfield makes him an attractive player. He is strong for his age and is learning the English style of play quickly and it does not come as a surprise that some of the best clubs in England are after him.

He has also earned himself a call-up to the English national youth setup and is a player who is on the rise. He will benefit by learning from the academy of the big clubs and the recent success of centre-back Rob Holding at Arsenal will give him further hope that he can make a name for himself at the highest level in the country.
