Match Report: Leicester City 0-0 Burnley

Burnley were fortunate to come away with a point from the King Power Stadium after drawing 0-0 with Leicester City. Emotions were certainly high amongst the Foxes after the unfortunate demise of their owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Leicester piled the pressure on the Clarets as Jamie Vardy came close to finding the back of the net only for Matthew Lowton to produce a fantastic goal-line clearance. Joe Hart was once again in the thick of the action as the goalkeeper denied Demarai Gray from close range after he was sent through by Jamie Vardy.

Burnley soaked all the pressure as Leicester dominated possession on the ball. Sean Dyche’s men saw just 37% of the ball as they struggled to create chances. Though Leicester were without the ever-present Harry Maguire, the likes of Sam Vokes and Chris Wood barely managed to threaten the Foxes’ goal.

Sean Dyche has continually switched his attacking options over the season and that seems to have affected their momentum. The manager has also barely used new signing, Matej Vydra who has often been left on the bench. The Clarets have failed to get their passes right in the final third and there is a lack of venom in their midfield as well.

It was Leicester’s game for the taking but thanks to some resolute defending and superb goalkeeping from Joe Hart, they were able to come away with a much-needed away point. Sean Dyche’s side are in serious need of some wins and they need it soon.

Here’s how the Burnley fans reacted to the draw at the King Power Stadium.
