Two Strikers Who Can Lead Manchester United To A Top 4 Finish

Share

Yet another loss in yet another home encounter for Champions Manchester United. David Moyes, now surely would be a worried man. As of now, The Red Devils now sit at an embarrassing ninth place of the EPL table, twelve points behind the early pace setters and leaders Arsenal. With various other teams now pushing hard in the business end of the campaign, David Moyes needss to think big in times of crisis and adversity. The January Transfer Window is fast approaching, imminent in about a month’s time might just provide the Scot the last throw of the dice in order to save a campaign which now seems to have been falling in pieced and lying in tatters.

United have now been scoreless in both of their last two home  games, with the dreaded partnership of Rooney and Robin Van Persie not playing together, I believe there is more than just the attacking options which Moyes needs come this January. So we here at Soccersouls decided to present you three strikers whom United need to sign to save their campaign, which seems to be falling apart.

Robert Lewandowski:

The Borussia Dortmund striker has been heavily linked to a move to fierce rivals Bayern Munich with his contract expiring next summer. However the Westfallenstadion faithful are not willing to sell their talismanic striker to their direct rivals, rather would Lewandowski to EPL clubs for a cut fall price. This might just provide Moyes to quickly move for the Polish sensation and solve his striking conundrum. If you are wondering how to accommodate three strikers in the United lineup, Rooney can be played in the linking role with RVP and Lewandowski up front.

Jose Salomon Rondon:

The tall and lanky Venezuelan who plays for Russian side Rubin Kazan  is considered as the next Didier Drogba would be an excellent addition to the United squad. He has a tremendous work ethic and is brilliant on the ball and has the knack of getting past defenders at will. The man mountain would add a real physical presence in the box, moreover would provide United as an outlet to build attacks from. Previously at Malaga, now playing in the Russian League, he would be a terrific addition to United’s much needed depth in the strike force. However would Moyes budge for the fiscal ramification for such an unproven player and that too so young for a 23 year old?

Is the striker force the real problem or the midfield department is the factor hampering the United side who have failed to hardly get going? Looking by the likes David Moyes’ side they have lacked the creativity and the attacking flair needed to unlock the best of defence in the Premier League. It might just be a great option of playing Rooney as the link man before Moyes just runs out of steam even before the defending ‘Champions’ fall out of a Champions League Berth come next summer.
