Two Players Manchester United Should Sign If This £50m Duo Leaves The Club

Share

It’s always sad to watch talented players leave their clubs after a couple of seasons when they arrived with high praise. Sometimes things don’t end up as expected and even if they made a nice job at the start, they wind up being flops and are sent off without any kind of hesitation or regret.

A couple of players who are reportedly on their way out of their team are Manchester United’s flop Memphis Depay and outcast Morgan Schneiderlin, as several clubs; including Everton, seem very interested in acquiring the pair of talented players who aren’t going to get any minutes under Jose Mourinho’s command over the course of the second half of the season.

So, if they actually leave, you know that someone’s coming, and we’ll discuss a couple of guys that should arrive at Old Trafford during this January’s transfer window to try and help Jose Mourinho turn around this mediocre season he’s having with his Red Devils.

Dimitri Payet

Payet and his agent have stated that the Frenchman is really comfortable at West Ham United right now, and you know he wouldn’t be the cheapest option for Manchester United to pursue during this upcoming winter transfer window.

However, you also know that the Glazers aren’t afraid to break the bank in order to assure success for their team and that a big amount of money could change the mind of the Hammers regarding his future.

The Frenchman has been the lone bright spot of Slaven Bilic’s side during this horrendous season, and his great ability and talent are something that’s just being wasted on a mediocre team, so making a move out of the London Stadium would be the best thing for Dimitri’s career and everybody knows so.

Jose Fonte

Southampton’s Jose Fonte is also under the team’s radar, as Jose Mourinho seems to really like his compatriot due to his outstanding job at Claude Puel’s team.

They’ve been snubbed by Southampton regarding the Virgil Van Dijk signing (who’s also been pursued by Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool), but the Red Devils could settle for his companion on the defensive end of the pitch, Fonte.

Fonte is a world class defensive talent, as he has shown this with the Saints and the Portugal national team, helping them win the last Euro at France, and making a move to Manchester United would be a logical thing to do considering his development.
