Two Chelsea Stars To Return vs Swansea City – Most Likely Blues Line Up To Start This Week

Share

Chelsea is having a good run of form under Guss Hiddink as the side is unbeaten in this year. The next stop for the blues will be Liberty Stadium where the side will be facing Swansea City. Chelsea had a comfortable win at Villa Park against the struggling Aston Villa side as they trashed them by 4 goals to nil. Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring for the blues whereas Remy who started the game was taken off in a very short time due to his injury and Pato was introduced to the pitch.

Pato made it 2-0 for the away side in his maiden Chelsea appearance following his signing in January. With John Terry and Cahill out of the game due to injuries the young 20-year-old defender Matt Miazga was given his chance and he became the first American to play for the side.

The Good news for the side is- Terry, Cahill and Willian may be available for their next game as they are expected to return to raining. They all missed out their previous games due to injuries.

On the other hand, Swansea’s squad is expected to be fully fit but, Andre Ayew still remains a doubt for the club. Swansea in their last 6 games have won just 3 of them, while Chelsea have won 4 and drawn 2. Chelsea are 7 games unbeaten against the Swansea side in all competition and are still unbeaten in the Premier League against the Swans.

Here is the predicted lineup for Chelsea that could face Swansea City at Liberty Stadium-

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois-

A regular starter for the team and no doubt that he surely will be starting against the Swans. The young Belgian averages 98% success in his attempts whereas he has managed to keep 5 clean sheets this season for the club. Courtois is a tall and a very versatile player and is the one who is very difficult to beat. Didn’t have much to do in his last game as his side easily overpowered the Villians.

Defence: Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta-

Terry and Cahill might make a return in this game. Terry missed the PSG’s clash for the club whereas Cahill was ruled out against Villa due to the knock he received in the friendless. Ivanovic might return to the right back position and Azpilicueta will be making his runs on the left.

Midfield: Willian, Fabregas, Mikel, Loftus-Cheek, Pedro-

Willian might return to the squad after missing the last game and Hiddink might start the game with Loftus-Cheek playing as an attacking midfielder, Fabregas at the centre of the pitch and Mikel as a holding Midfielder. Mikel has been a regular starter since Guus Hiddink has taken charge of the club and Matic has found himself on the bench many times this season after a fantastic last season.

Striker: Alexandre Pato-

As Diego Costa is still suspended and Remy out Injured, the young Brazilian might get his chance to start his very first game in Chelsea’s shirt. Scored on his debut against Villa and will be looking forward to continue his scoring abilities against the Swans. He will have to be solid in his position as Ashley Williams and Taylor will be the players he will be going against.
