Arsenal fans severely panned Olivier Giroud after his below par performance against Besiktas in Istanbul last night. The Gunners failed to get on the scoresheet as they were unable to convert chances created by the likes of Ramsey an Sanchez ending the first half of the tie goalless.
The match is yet to be decided and it could be a disaster if Besiktas managed to score early during the second leg at the Emirates next week. This if the first time in over 12 matches that the Gunners failed to win in one of these qualifying matches and Giroud has been blamed by the majority of the fans and rightly so.
Giroud, who was on the bench against Crystal Palace, got his chance this time, but it looked like he is still in the holiday mood, especially when he scuffed a delightful lobbed ball from Ramsey when he was one on one with the keeper. It could be a long season for Arsenal if they fail to address this problem and Giroud could come under severe criticism by his own fans.
Here are some reactions from the Arsenal fans.
