Personally, as an Arsenal fan I am gutted to see Danny Welbeck in an Arsenal shirt and too top our misery Falcao, who was linked with us has joined United.
While, he may be better than Sanogo, Welbeck isn’t the answer for your 20 plus goals a season striker who can lead the team to challenge for the title. Arsenal have also failed to address the more pressing concerns of signing a defensive midfielder and finding cover at the back for the departed Thomas Vermaelen.
Here are some reactions from the Arsenal fans,
What baffles me is why wenger didn't go for mandzukic, remy or balotelli, knowing he wanted a striker, yet buys Danny welbeck for 16 million

The comments to @arsenal announcing the signing of welbeck are funny! A mixture of shattered dreams and disillusionment.

no point slacking off welbeck before he even started. Let's get behind him now and hope he starts banging in all those goals.

I may be proved wrong, but £16m? Welbeck? One of the most ridiculed strikers in the league? 20-odd goals in 3 seasons?

LVG clearly saw Welbeck as a no go at a club that is currently challenging for nothing. Wenger sees somebody that'll win us the league.

Danny Welbeck: "When i was younger my hero was Thierry Henry. I just wanted to be doing the stuff he was doing, he was quality" #afc

Considering Welbeck plays wide much of the time, his stats comparison with Giroud is more than adequate. #afc pic.twitter.com/dMjBNodRPq

Perform well for Arsenal this season, score goals and I will change my opinion about Danny Welbeck.
