L’Equipe reported that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Brazilian super kid Bernard and he will officially sign for Arsenal end of this week. Weirdly, only European media is giving out all the news regarding this saga. Brazilian media seems to have no clue about Arsenal’s interest in Bernard. They are just quoting European sources in their news. A Brazilian player, Brazilian club, Brazilian agency, but English and French media seems to know more :P
Anyway coming back to news reporting, reports from France again revealed that North London rivals of Arsenal, Tottenham are also interested in the player and are preparing a bid (higher than Arsenal’s bid) for Bernard.
Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk are the other interested parties. Since the premier league does not allow third party ownership, agency who owns Bernard may prefer selling him to non-premier league clubs. Portuguese newspaper A Bola also reported that Porto are very close to sign Bernard.
Are we going to witness a bidding war?
