Tottenham must forget about signing Dani Ceballos and focus on signing this 16-goal midfield powerhouse instead

Tottenham opinion: Who should Spurs buy – Lo Celso or Ceballos?

Tottenham Hotspur fans can look forward to a very exciting month ahead. They’ve got a new stadium and they’ve also signed young Jack Clarke from Leeds and France international Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.

They’ve now been linked with Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso, who represented Argentina in the Copa America, and Dani Ceballos of Real Madrid, who represented the Spanish U21 squad that won the U21 European Championship.

They’re both coming off a high after impressing and have got a lot to prove. Ceballos was a former Real Betis player himself and joined Madrid after much acclaim but has failed to make himself a starter at the Bernabeu.

Lo Celso couldn’t quite fit into Paris Saint-Germain’s squad and had to be let out on loan to Betis and has been an absolute star for them.

Anyone of them could be Tanguy Ndombele’s partner for the foreseeable future and take their career to the next level with the Champions League trophy and Premier League title to fight for. Pochettino is a fantastic coach and will be a big draw for these talented youngsters.

Let’s see how they compare and who would be a better fit.

Giovani Lo Celso

Lo Celso went from being a deeper and progressive midfielder to a potent attacking threat, having scored 16 goals and providing 6 assists last season. He is a complete footballer and could very easily make Spurs a title contender.

He is good at dribbling the ball like most left-footed players and would give them something different when compared to the players they already have.

Dani Ceballos

Ceballos has been showing signs of getting a big break at Real Madrid for a while but hasn’t quite made that big leap. He was charged with everything at Real Betis, from creating chances, scoring goals, progressing the ball from deep and doing his defensive bits.

Ceballos looks like a player who needs some love and Pochettino is the perfect manage for players who want to reignite their career. We saw this with the likes of Lucas Moura and it could be the same for Dani Ceballos.

Conclusion

When you compare the two, being an Argentinian, Lo Celso would love to work with Pochettino and is perhaps ready to win something big with Spurs and has a very attractive style.

Thus, he would be the better option for the time being.
