It may be some years down the line before you see some of them take on the mettle as the next Pirlo, Xavi, Messi or Ronaldo, today we here at Soccersouls decided to provide our readers with five young players who should not be sold by their respective clubs in the coming transfer window.

1. Adnan Januzaj:

Adnan Januzaj – the rising star

The 19 year old took the Premier League by storm this season and in 23 appearances for Manchester United this season, he has scored 3 goals and grabbed an equal number of assists. Januzaj’s biggest strengths comes from his dynamic dribbling ability, his nonchalance at beating players for pace and getting past defenders on the turn in the blink of an eye. Statistically, the youngster has made 351 successful passes, with his average pass length being 16 meters.

Defensively, Januzaj might not be the most reliable but he wins most of his individual tackles having an accurate shot accuracy of 40%. The Belgium born youngster, who has impressed this season, had signed a five year contract with Manchester United in October. But reigning European Champions Bayern Munich are looking to tempt Januzaj into a move in the summer, claims The Daily Mail. David Moyes however shouldn’t be tempted by any fiscal ramification and must look to keep him at Old Trafford for years to come.

2. Nabil Bentaleb:

The 19 year old Algerian struggled to a club for himself until Tim Sherwood gave him a chance to shine at White Hart Lane. Since then he has hardly looked back and despite his tender age, he possess a matured head on young shoulders. Now firmly established in Tottenham’s engine room, his performances is keeping Brazilian Paulinho out of the starting eleven, the defensive midfielder’s greatest strengths comes in his ball retention. Rarely does he give the ball away with his dynamic passing range with an average passing accuracy of 87%.

Moreover, Bentaleb is technically adept at tracking back and is more than reliable at screening the back four. His average pass lengths of 16 meters shows he is not afraid to switch possession on either side of the pitch will his long diagonal balls. Manchester United are considering a move for the Algerian in the summer, but Spurs should hold on to their prized asset of the future.

3. Luke Shaw:

Luke Shaw

The most sought after player in England currently, Soutampton’s Luke Shaw has been a revelation for the Mauricio Pochettino’s Saints this season. In 29 appearances this season, Shaw’s dazzling ability hasn’t gone unnoticed as he has attracted the biggest of names in the Premier League. His trademarks bursts forward is a testament of his raw pace, the willingness to run the extra mile for his team and ability to make it count in the biggest of stages. He is a very disciplined defender, hardly lunging into tackles and rarely does he give the ball away with his superb passing. Defensively, his greatest strengths lies in getting the second balls in the dangerous areas and his measure clearances from the back is an asset to his side.

Southampton should try to keep him at-least for another year.

4. Julian Draxler:

Arsenal are atop of the list to sign Schalke’s 20 year old wonder kid in the coming summer after manager Arsene Wenger was linked to move for Draxler in January this January transfer window, but any sort of deal failed to materialize. A prized asset for any team he plays in, Draxler can play both as a second striker and a central attacking midfielder which will suit Arsenal given their fluidity and style of play.

Draxler has an average shot accuracy of 87%, a stat comparable to the best of players in the upper echelons of European football.  However, the German’s biggest ability is his creative imagination, having already grabbed six assists this season and 35 key passes leading to his team’s goals. Moreover, he wins most of his take-ons and individual tackles as his average duels won stands to 57%. Should Arsenal lay their hands on Draxler for any fiscal ramification in the summer, make no mistake, Arsene Wenger would put a feather on his cap of increasing transfer coups.

The 20 year old Benfica youngster is being tipped as the next biggest creative player in the world. As an attacking midfielder, who can play on either flanks, Markovic can also double up as a false nine if required.  It is believed that Tottenham have set their sights on the Serbian but other top clubs may join the race for the Benfica lad in Summer.
