Top 5 Summer Transfers (EPL) Including Arsenal, Manchester United, And Chelsea Stars

Share

The deadline day is finally over and what a day it has been! Just like last season when Arsenal suddenly pulled a rabbit out of the hat and signed Ozil on this day, this time United did it and have signed Falcao on a loan deal. It looks like most of the teams are relatively happy with what they have got, though some of them may have used a few other players for certain positions. But now that the transfer window is officially over, we look at five of the best transfers of this window which have happened over the past two months.

5. Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal started the window with a bang getting Chile player Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona. What made the deal more special was the transfer fee of £32 million, which is clearly a fee in the modest range for a player of his class. Barcelona needed to make arrangements for the money of Luis Suarez and thus they decided to part with a couple of stars from the squad and Arsene Wenger grabbed this opportunity with both hands. He has already shown what he is capable of scoring his first goal in an Arsenal shirt last week against Leicester.

4. Diego Costa

For long Chelsea have functioned with a proper striker and it was high time they get one. Diego Costa was fresh from his league win with Atletico and Jose Mourinho could not have got himself a better man for £35 million, at a time when the top players are going in the bracket of £50 million. Costa now has 4 goals from his first 3 matches and with a midfield line comprising Hazard, Oscar, Fabregas and Schurrle, it looks like the golden boot is his to lose now, especially because Suarez is not gone and RvP is nurturing an injury.

3. Angel di Maria

Angel Di Maria

Manchester United needed reinforcements after their debacle last season and boy they have done that with aplomb. After signing the likes of Shaw, Herrera and Rojo, Ed Woodward hit gold with the signature of Angel di Maria from Real Madrid. The Argentine just helped his club clinch the Champions League and now he just has to prove that his super high price tag was justified.

2. Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas

The former Arsenal man joined Chelsea as Barcelona wanted to raise the money. Mourinho has publicly stated that Fabregas was the piece of the jigsaw puzzle missing from his team and his comeback to the Premier League has been accompanied with some fantastic play and 5 assists in 3 matches. The money Chelsea paid for this pass master looks a steal in this inflated market.

1. Radamel Falcao

falcao

The Monaco star joined Manchester United on the deadline day and what is special about the move is that United just had to pay £6 million to get his services for a yearlong loan. He is what every manager would want in his team and only some could afford. A forward line comprising of Rooney, Rvp, Falcao, di Maria and Mata looks as threatening as it can get.
