Top 5 Arsenal Goals This Season – Featuring The Awesome Goal Against Manchester United

Share

Arsenal did manage to finish 2nd in the table, but, to be honest, they were never the best side in the Premier League this term.

Arsenal had many ups and downs this term, and Arsene Wenger was heavily criticized for the side’s poor display in the second half of the season. The side lacked in the defensive aspect of the game, while injuries to some senior player also raised many questions.

The season is gone now, and the team will now be looking to get over the negatives of 2015-16 season and will look forward to win the title next season.

Here, we give you Arsenal’s top 5 goals of the season-

    1. Alexis Sanchez vs Leicester City-

That strike from the Chilean was a very beautiful finish. He beats the Leicester defender with his clever movement and as soon as he got the space, he fires the ball to the near post and Schmeichel had no answer for that.

    1. Elneny vs Barcelona-

Arsenal met Barcelona this term in the Champions League’s round of 16. Though the team lost, but the Egyptian scored the goal at Camp Nou that he can never forget. Alexis Sanchez found Elneny unmarked at the edge of the penalty area, and the Egyptian kept his composure to beat Ter Stegen by firing the shot in the middle of the goal.

    1. Giroud vs Crystal Palace-

That was Arsenal’s one of the best goals this season. A typical passing game in the middle of the park to the wings, and Mesut Ozil found Giroud right inside the box, and the Frenchman goes for the spectacular to finish the ball to the far post.

  1. Walcott vs Manchester City-

No, this goal was not about the sprinting. The Englishman had a bitter season with Arsenal, but he did score a brilliant long range goal to beat Joe Hart. A typical possession play at Emirates until Ozil found Walcott in the box, and the Englishman fired the shot from outside the box and Joe Hart was left red faced.

    1. Sanchez vs Manchester United-

A comfortable game was played at the Emirates back in 2015 where the Gunner defeated the Red Devils by 3 goals to nil and Alexis Sanchez played a big role in that little triumph. It was actually a typical Sanchez’s strike; beats Darmian then Smalling and fired a venomous strike to beat David De Gea.
