Three Unlikely Stars Who Could Grace The EPL Next Season Including Arsenal And Manchester United Targets

Share

We are now at the business end of the season but clubs all over Europe are desperately trying hard to bolster their squad depth in the summer. The Rumour Mill can’t distance itself from linking talents all over Europe as clubs look to wrap up deals before the World Cup in Brazil come in June. So today we bring a special read for our readers one three youngsters who could grace the Premier League next season with their dazzling talents.

Rodrigo Moreno:

According to reports, Arsenal are set to splash the cash in the summer for Spaniard Rodrigo Moreno of Benfica who is rated at £28m. Rodrigo was originally a product of the youth system at Real Madrid but never made the cut in Spain’s capital. After spending a season long loan at Premier League side Bolton Wanderers in the 2010/11 season, Benfica snapped him up where he currently plies his trade. Blessed with a fantastic left foot and the ability to run past defenders thanks to his raw pace, Rodrigo’s attacking instincts will suit and match Arsenal’s style if the Gunners were to land him the summer.

Arsenal’s lack of attacking options has been one of the reasons why they haven’t been able to hold on to their significant lead at the top of the Premier League standings. The Gunners were leading the race title but a series of poor results halted their charge and now they are in danger of losing out a Champions League berth to Everton in the business end of the season.

William Carvalho:

The 22-year old is heralded as one of the most dazzling talents in World Football and his performances over the last year has shown signs of the quality he possesses. A host of European clubs are interested in Carvalho despite his age and inexperience in the biggest of stages. The  Portuguese possesses immense maturity and has the great ability to drive his team like an engine by pulling strings in the middle of the park.

Both the Manchester teams, City and United have send scouts to track his progress while Malaga, Arsenal and Real Madrid also looking to jump into the bandwagon for his coveted signature in the summer. Sporting however want a suitable replacement before they allow their prized asset to depart. Manchester United are perhaps closest to land him but his representative Jorge Mendes is also Cristiano Ronaldo and Fabio Coentrao’s agent which might make matters interesting.

Alessio Cerci:

It is perhaps more notable when you play for a “lesser” side amidst the Giants. Alessio Cerci, the 26 year old who plays for Torino as a winger is surely the perfect epitome. The Italian International has been a driving force for the Turin club who are currently seventh in the Serie A standings and pushing for European football next season. Cerci has scored  13 times and also mustered 9 assists in 31 appearances this season (stats as from Whoscored).

The £16m rated  star wants Champions League football and with United set to miss out on Europe’s elite competition, City might just pounce on the Torino man. Both Manchester United and Manchester City have been given a boost in their pursuit of Alessio Cerci, as the winger has admitted that he will consider his future at the end of the season.

However one question still remains to be answered. How many Italians have been successful in the Premier League?
