Three Reasons Why Wenger Should Say ‘YES’ To This £25million Man

Share

Arsenal are currently the league leaders of the premier league. But their five point lead was cut down to just 2 points after a devastating defeat at the hands of the defending champions, Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Wenger will hope that his side can hold on at the top for atleast till the January window, where he can bring in some new faces to add much needed depth to this Arsenal squad. With Giroud being the only good option available in front, buying a backup striker is a must for the Gunners.

This is where the £25million man comes into the picture. He is none other than Christian Benteke from Aston Villa.

Now, let’s see few reasons why Wenger should break the bank to sign this target man.

1. Physical Gameplay

Christian Benteke

Christian Benteke has all the required ingredients to adapt to the life at the Emirates. He is physically strong enough to shoulder up with most of the top defenders in the league. He can hold the ball well and also has the ability to bring his teammates into the game as well.

2. Aerial Ability

Christian Benteke is tall (6ft 3ins) and very dominating in the air. He had scored some great header goals for Aston Villa, which shows how good he is on air. Signing him will add a new dimension to Arsenal’s gameplay. He can also contribute to the defense during the set piece situations.

3. Easily Available

With Arsenal playing in the Champions league on a regular basis, Wenger can easily tempt the  £25million man to join the gunners. Even though he had signed a contract extension with Aston Villa recently, Arsenal have enough money in the bank to tempt Aston Villa management and lure Christian Benteke away from the Villa Park.
