This Manchester United Winger Should Search For Another Club To Re-discover His Career

Sometimes things don’t work well as we expect, and great prospects just don’t live up to the expectations and the hype that surrounds them, so they need to sit down and think about their best options in order to finally boost their game and show what made them a wonderboy in the first place.

This is precisely the case of Belgian starlet Adnan Januzaj, who was called to be the next superstar at Manchester United but could never succeed at Old Trafford and since his departure, he hasn’t shown what we all know he’s capable of quite yet.

The former Denzil Haroun winner, an award that’s given to the best Manchester United reserve squad player was one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s favourite teenagers, but he didn’t have a chance to prove himself while the great boss was in charge of the Red Devils, never having the opportunity to actually step up on the pitch with the first team.

So, when David Moyes took charge of Manchester United, he became an instant fan favorite and was one of the lone bright spots during the Scottish boss’ horrendous tenure, making 36 appearances and scoring 4 goals as well as notching 6 assists.

That kind of performances made Januzaj get a lot of attention, as fans couldn’t believe what they’ve been missing by having this youngster on the bench, but sadly Louis Van Gaal couldn’t keep his momentum and sent him on a loan to Borussia Dortmund, where he struggled to get any playing time at all, losing his rhythm and getting his confidence clearly diminished.

Now, Moyes has taken the young lad under his wing once again, bringing him to his disastrous Sunderland team in order to provide him with the opportunities and playing time he desperately needs, helping his team get anything going on offense, where they’ve been struggling a lot in the past few seasons.

However, the young lad hasn’t been able to show his best level with Sunderland after some poor performances and a nagging injury that kept him sidelined for several weeks, and he needs to start to wonder what could be the best move for him in the foreseeable future.

The 21-year-old is tied to Sunderland until this season finishes, and even despite the current struggles in Jose Mourinho’s side, he hasn’t demonstrated anything that makes the Portuguese boss that he could use him in his squad next season.

So, what’s left for the Belgian is to go ahead and prove himself during the second half of the year in order to get some offers, given the fact that Sunderland’s future isn’t looking very bright either and there’s a big chance that they fall out of the Premier League for the next season, and Adnan career could take another major bump if he winds up settling for a Championship team.

Januzaj can still save his career, as he has his best years ahead of him, but we’re starting to think that he might never be the next superstar we were all expecting.
